The grapes were hand-harvested and transported directly to the winery for whole-bunch pressing to tank. The juice was chilled, lightly settled and racked to seasoned small French oak barrels for spontaneous fermentation, followed by maturation on yeast lees for 10 months before finishing and bottling in early 2020.
Appearance: Bright pale lemon in colour.
Nose: Ripe pear and quince aromas, with aromatic orchard-blossom overtones.
Palate: Smooth, round palate entry with subtle white fruits and hints of cream. The smooth texture continues to the mid-palate, where almondy yeast-lees flavours carry through to a long, even finish.Summary: Inspired by Rhône styles of Roussanne, this wine is about texture, harmony and finesse.
